Are terrorists capable of hacking nuclear launch systems?

I have been worried that al queda and other terrorist organizations could deploy nukes by hacking computers and start a full scale nuclear war, what are their hacking capabilites and how much of a threat are terrorists. Are intellegence agencies doing anything to prevent this and are nuclear systems protected from hacking?
